Fuentes del Silencio
Jamuz Valley León, Spain
The true protagonists of Fuentes del Silencio in the Jamuz Valley are 30 hectares vineyard with century old vines, mostly of the Mencía, Alicante Bouschet and Palomino varieties. The Jamuz Valley is located in the south of the province of Leon, an area of high ecological value.
Harvesting is done by hand, selecting the grapes from each plot according to their ripeness and collecting them in boxes with a maximum of 15 kilos to preserve them better.

La Gándara is a wine that faithfully reflects its environment. On the nose, the aromas of wild flowers, rockroses and scrubland stand out, accompanied by exuberant red fruits. On the palate, it is fresh, balsamic and delicate. Long and persistent, it evokes the landscape from which it comes.

Tasting notes:
Sparkling golden color. Aroma of white fruit, citrus and anise. Unctuous and long in the mouth with hints of jasmine and dried fruits. Saline and highly complex in the mouth.
Palomino, Doña Blanca y Godello

Tasting notes:
Very expressive and bright cherry red cherry colour. Intense red fruit aromas predominate, along with elegant and subtle toasted and balsamic notes, cut grass and juniper. The palate is delicate, with just the right amount of tannic concentration and freshness, with an unctuous passage and a slightly saline mineral background. The use of a low percentage of new oak allows for a balanced blend of fruity sensation with smoky and spicy flavours and a long, lingering finish.

VILLAFLÓREZ 2018
A work of art made into wine!
Together with the Colombian artist Willy Ramos, Fuentes del Silencio brings Villaflórez 2018 to the market. 270 bottles in magnum format in which the genius of colour has intervened with his talent and sensitivity to give shape to this work of art, a bottle that hides an exceptional wine of prieto picudo, from the century-old plot of Viña Leonarda, named after the winegrower who looks after it.
